At this popular annual event, young children can demonstrate with pride what they already know how to do, and learn some new practical skills too. The fair is targeted to children ages 3 to 10, with a parent. Activities may include:
  • Cooking/Good Eats
  • Home Creating: vacuuming, sewing a button, sewing machine use, dishwashing
  • Home Maintenance: painting, electricity, carpentry, plumbing
  • Bike Maintenance
  • People Skills: Phone and table manners, introductions, gift giving and wrapping
  • The Good Earth: grow your own food
  • What's Wrong With This Room? a game of detection
  • Passport to Self-Sufficiency
  • ... and more

Adult and youth (middle and high school students) volunteers sought. Community service hours available for students. New volunteer training will be offered on Sunday, March 3 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm and Monday, March 4 from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. New volunteers are strongly encouraged to attend one of these training sessions.
